Abstract

The article focuses on the interpretation of the Council Directive 92/85/EEC of 19 October 1992 on the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health at work of pregnant workers, workers who have recently given birth or are breastfeeding. The case involved a dispute between T.C. and Haus Jacobus Alten- und Altenpflegeheim gGmbH, which manages an elderly care facility, concerning the dismissal of an employee, who was pregnant on the date of that dismissal, which she did not know at the time.
