Abstract
In the article, the Author discusses the changes in simplified and commercial proceedings introduced under the Act of 9 March 2023 amending the Code of Civil Procedure. As regards commercial proceedings, the Author points out the change of the definition of a commercial case, which may sometimes cause a clash with the provisions on consumer cases, as well as the necessary changes concerning the manner and extent of giving instructions by the court. As regards simplified proceedings, the Author analyses the additional restriction for hearing a case in a trial in so-called trivial cases, as well as changes as regards hearing complaints in simplified proceedings.
