Abstract
The filing of an unpaid request for the preparation and delivery of a statement of reasons for a judgment pursuant to Art. 328 § 4 of the Code of Civil Procedure is a relatively ineffective procedural act of a party, irrespective of whether it is made by the party itself or by a professional representative. The appropriate procedural sanction to be applied in connection with an error of a party or its attorney consisting in having failed to pay the fee for that request is rejection of the request. The sanction of rejection of an unpaid request for the preparation and delivery of a statement of reasons for a judgment may be applied only after the lapse of the time limit set by the presiding judge for the payment of the missing charge.
