Abstract

Transfer of certain obligations of public entities to a private party has been used for centuries as a result of the need to meet certain collective needs of the society and shortage of public money, together with an opportunity to derive revenues from the provision of these types of services and public goods. The idea of a public-private partnership is based on the assumption that the benefits will drawn by public and private entities. The aim of the article is to present the current state of the development of PPP in Poland and indicate factors affecting the choice of PPP forms. The author based her discourse on the study of literature, analysis of legal acts and statistical analysis.
