Abstract

The article indicates barriers to the development of public-private partnerships in Poland. It also stresses that experience in implementation of tasks under the public-private partnership model may contribute to better preparation of the public sector for meeting the challenges it faces. In addition, the experience gained may have an effect on the processes of transformation of public administration itself. Therefore, cooperation between the sectors my both be an instrument through which public administration will be able to carry out public tasks efficiently and effectively as well as generate changes in administration itself.
