Abstract

In the era of increasing competition, keeping confidentiality of important information is quite crucial for the employer’s position. Therefore, they try to protect their secrets by prohibiting the employee to disclose them. However, if the employee breaches confidentiality, they may be sanctioned by the employer. The employee who discloses sensitive information may lose their job, furthermore, they could be held accountable in a civil or criminal case based on the provisions of the act on combating unfair competition.
