Abstract
This article is focused on an analysis of the institution of termination of the terms and conditions of work and pay with notice in the context of collective redundancies. The text interprets the concept of „significant changes to essential elements of employment contract”. The correct interpretation of this concept is of key importance in assessing the necessity for an employer to apply the act on collective redundancies when making changes to the terms and conditions of work and pay a significant number of employees. The text also refers to the so-called individual redundancies when applying the institution of termination of the terms and conditions of work and pay with notice.
