Abstract

The purpose of the present article is to analyse an employment contract for a person taking up first official post with a local government employer. The author deliberates on the legal nature of such a contract, asks questions regarding application of limitations within concluding fixed-term contracts, referred to in Article 251 of the labour code, and attempts to determine the consequences of the amendment of the labour code within the obligation to justify termination of a fixed-term contract.
