Abstract
While focusing on matters of public procurement, this article discusses the concept of managerial control and issues relating to professionalisation, followed by a look at selected standards of managerial control (in the context of the above issues) in the area of the “internal environment”, which includes: compliance with ethical values, professional competence, organisational structure and the delegation of powers. In the context of human resources, these standards are particularly closely linked to the issue of professionalisation.
