Abstract
The e-Certis system plays an important role in the digitisation process of public procurement. It was intended to be an instrument enabling the equivalence of declarations and certificates submitted by contractors to be resolved in a binding way. However, in its final form, assigned by Directive 2014/24/EU, the repository has mainly performed informative functions. Nevertheless, it should be considered as an important information and support instrument for both contractors and contracting authorities. It contributes to the elimination of certain administrative barriers in the public procurement system, thereby supporting the principle of transparency in this system and constituting an instrument helping to implement the idea of sustainable public procurement.
