Abstract
The purpose of the study is to set out the preliminary conditions for analysing the phenomenon of the automated participation of contractors in public procurement procedures. The article assumes that computerisation will make the phenomenon of automated activities ever more prevalent in public procurement. With this in mind, the article looks at the practical and theoretical problems of automation in the process of concluding contracts, and its possible application in semi-automated procedures concerning procurement. The basic problems relating to the automation of activities in public procurement procedures are discussed, including issues of admissibility of using specific IT solutions by contractors. The study states that the prospect of using modern IT solutions in public procurement will require an appropriate interpretation of cross-referencing clauses in public procurement, in particular where it concerns good practice.
