Abstract

The article discusses amendments to the PPL in connection with the obligation to observe the GDPR. The new regulations are directed to the contracting authorities who are the controllers of personal data collected during the public procurement proceedings and while the contract is being performed. These regulations apply above all to the method by which the contracting authority fulfils its information obligations, limits the exercising of rights under the GDPR, limits the principle of transparency in the proceedings and data processing in order to verify the employment of the contractor’s staff under employment contracts. The new PPL regulations are supposed to simply the execution of certain obligations imposed by the GDPR on the contracting authority.
