Abstract

The article discusses the credibility of contractors who are a party to a contract on a concession for construction works or services. By their nature, concession contracts are most often entered into for many years, which creates a real problem concerning the credibility of contractors executing such concession throughout the whole term of the contract. As is pointed out in the performed analysis, concessions will be effective only when the public sector is able to define its needs and expectations towards contractors. The risks related to a certain undertaking will be divided between the parties to the concession, while the people engaged in the whole project will be properly prepared.
