Abstract
Significant changes are taking place in the Polish public procurement system. These changes are a direct result of the adaptation to the requirements of European directives, in particular the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2014/24/EU of 26 February 2014 on public procurement, repealing Directive 2004/18/EC. The article describes the current legal status and sets out the schedule of changes planned for the near future. These will significantly affect the actions taken by the contracting parties and suppliers. The article also discusses the activities undertaken by the Public Procurement Office and the Ministry of Digital Affairs aimed at implementing the necessary IT solutions.
