The mission of the periodical is to share knowledge and in every issue provide space for a multifaceted and pluralistic legal discourse covering broadly conceived commercial law. The periodical carries both scientific articles of a more general nature presenting theoretical analyses, including more universal history of law issues, as well as those referring to practical problems. Therefore, the magazine plays a dual role: it is a journal addressing at the same time the academic legal community and legal practicians; it combines dissemination of theoretical and practical knowledge. Having in mind the fact that a condition of progress is frequently a critical exchange of views the periodical is open to authors presenting opinion from different perspectives, polemics and commentaries. It provides legislative news, and frequently critical remarks concerning drafts of laws are meant to constitute an impulse for the legislator to take a different path, are aimed at raising awareness of threats and deficiencies connected with the planned amendment at a stage whereby it is still possible to introduce appropriate changes in the drafts so as to prevent adoption and application or defective solutions. Analyses and views presented in the magazine are quoted in the doctrine, thus influencing development of legal thought, in court decisions, and referred to in arguments outlined in pleadings. In this way we materialize the idea of translating law in books into law in action, thus exerting real impact on shaping court decisions and enriching legislative proposals.
