Abstract

The article focuses on the issue of termination by notice in the context of the obligation to treat employees equally regardless of whether they are employed for a fixed-term or for an indefinite period. It raises issues of interpretation of clause 4 of the framework agreement on fixed-term work, which is annexed to Council Directive 1999/70/EC, as well as interpretation of Article 47 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
