Abstract
Heat waves and the resulting “heat stress” have various consequences within the functioning of healthcare, rescue services, energy usage and hundreds of other factors. However, they will not be included in the present article. The author presents comments which may refer to the labour market that result from increasingly common problem of “heat stress”. It is global in nature and only a short part of the article regards Poland. The article does not bring up the issue of climate migrations, which is so critical and multifaceted that requires a separate paper. For the same reason, the author does not discuss the matter of estimates (global and regional) within productivity decline and lost working hours because of heat waves, and consequently - the issue of costs of those processes.
