Abstract

A company established for the management of a land community is a special type of legal person set up for the purpose of managing the common property of the community members. Unlike other types of legal persons, the regulation of its bodies and management of the company is minimal, which results in gaps that need to be filled by analogy to more detailed regulations for other types of entities. An analysis of similarities between a land community management company and commercial companies, farming cooperatives and housing communities leads to the conclusion that the latter type of entity shows most common features with the land community management company. This justifies application of the provisions on housing communities to fill the gaps in the regulation of land community management companies.
