Abstract

The article discusses judicial enforcement against so-called civilian firearms held for private purposes, i.e. for personal protection, sports, collecting, training and other. It presents the statistics of private ownership of weapons in Poland, as well as the basic principles of arms trading between private entities. Against this background, the article discusses the rules for seizure, storing and selling weapons by a court bailiff, pointing primarily to the need to use an intermediary, i.e. an entrepreneur professionally trading in this type of items.
