Abstract
The article is an attempt to assess the scope of an investor’s joint and several liability for subcontractors’ claims due to an increase in the prices of materials and project implementation costs. The article analyses the scope of and grounds for such subcontractors’ claims, assesses the current limits of an investor’s joint and several liability for subcontractors’ claims under construction works contracts, and presents pros and contras as regards extending investor’s protection to cover subcontractors’ indexing claims.
