Abstract
The article outlines major directions of changes in the bankruptcy law introduced by the Act of 30 August 2019 amending the Bankruptcy Law Act and certain other acts, which come into force as of 24 March 2020. In particular, it discusses changes concerning the bankruptcy proceedings vis-a-vis natural persons who do not run any business, which at present may be conducted also in accordance with the provisions of Part I of the Bankruptcy Law (i.e. provisions of the bankruptcy of entrepreneurs). It also briefly presents major changes made with respect to judicial authorities responsible for the proceedings and the general rules of procedure as well as the system of appellate measures.
