Abstract

The report presents the subjects discussed at the National Scientific Conference entitled: “The new shape of the Polish civil procedure” organized by the Law and Administration Department of Łódź University and C.H.Beck Publishers. The conference was devoted to fundamental changes introduced to the Code of Civil Procedure by the Act of 4 July 2019 amending the Code of Civil Procedure and certain other acts. The amending act introduced the most far-reaching changes to civil procedure since 2012. It discusses the institution abuses of civil procedural law, organizational rules, changes in the evidentiary proceedings, separate proceedings in commercial cases, changes in payment order and writ of payment proceedings, new rules for passing judgments and the form of appellate proceedings.
