Abstract

The article is aimed at presenting and analysing two years of the GDPR being in force in Poland with respect to the new challenges which arose within that period and may occur in the future. It is a discretionary matter and therefore may give rise to diverse assessments and views. Nevertheless, some positive, universal and hence timeless aspects of the regulation, which has exerted a great impact on the awareness of citizens and data processors, should not be ignored. Today, it may be stated that even the pandemic has not been able to take the GDPR unawares since it does contain provisions that are applicable to such sudden and unpredicted events.
