Abstract

The article discusses the legitimacy of introducing the concept of network and service security into the National Cyber Security System Act. The material scope of the term cyber security, which is fundamental for the Act, has been analysed, and also invokes has been information security which is primary to the discussed issue. An important role in the protection of this value is played by appropriate procedures for selection of organisational and technical safeguards to guarantee its observance. In relation to this context, the last part of the article also discusses the assumptions of planned institutional changes in the National Cyber Security System.
