Abstract
The article focuses on selected legal measures aimed at development of financial innovation law as well as the FinTech sector in Poland. According to the presented conclusions, such measures are first of all grounded in national laws. For example, these are the regulations concerning issuance of an individual declaratory ruling by the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority or the provisions relating to payment services offered by small payment institution, which constitute a relatively new category of payment service providers under Polish law. Moreover, such measures can be also soft law regulations adopted by the Office of the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority (OPFSA), such as communications or positions of the OPFSA. Finally, such instruments as various initiatives undertaken by the OPFSA, such as the Innovation HUB Program or the regulatory sandbox, should be noted.
