The publication is aimed at evaluating current regulations with respect to profiling and automated decision-making, as well as stressing the key importance of such rules as accountability and comprehensibility for effective protection of pravicy. It proposes solutions that go beyond consolidation of the rights of data subjects, which should be implemented in order to improve protection standards of their rights in the future, including introduction of an expanded procedure of appraising the consequences of processing for data protection as well as a cohesive pan-European system of certification.
