Abstract

The article aims to introduce partial renunciation of inheritance Polish law. This institution is not explicitly regulated in the Civil Code, hence its presence in the inheritance law system arouses a lot of controversy. The author presents regulation of the agreement for partial renunciation of inheritance against the background of the provisions in force before and after the entry into force of the Civil Code. Opposing views are summarized as to admissibility of partial renunciation of inheritance de lege lata. The article ends with the presentation of the author's own position against the background of the presented argumentation.
