The innovative role of general principles in the Italian Code of public contracts

Abstract

The paper analyses the key innovations introduced by the Public Procurement Code, focusing, in particular, on the relevant principles it establishes: the principle of results, the principle of trust, and the principle of market access. The paper also addresses the digitalisation of public contracts, highlighting the benefits this transformation brings.
