Abstract
Public procurement inspections carried out under the authority of the president of the Public Procurement Office (PPO) is particularly important for the public procurement system. Activities during the inspection process are performed by specialist employees of the Office. How inspections are perceived depends on the professionalism of these employees. Therefore, the President of the PPO undertakes activities aimed at increasing the level of professionalism of the staff. It is necessary to take into account the specific needs of inspectors, whose knowledge must include the rules applying to public procurement and the markets, as well as the methodology and principles of control.
