Abstract
The paper presents an assessment of the potential impact of the new Public Procurement Law on the construction process. Two aspects of the process have been distinguished. Firstly, the effectiveness of the price building system on the public procurement market, and secondly the level of the competitiveness in public procurement construction tenders. The paper describes several obstacles limiting the positive impact of the new Public Procurement Law on the construction process. The analysis also suggests solutions that should come into force in the law in order to improve the existing situation.
