Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyse the provisions of FIDIC general contract conditions applied under the public procurement law regime. For obvious reasons, the framework of the study does not allow for a detailed description of all clauses of a contract concluded on the basis of FIDIC conditions. Anyway, such work has been already carried out and therefore there is no need to duplicate the scientific results presented therein. For the same reason, it is impossible to analyse all available FIDIC „Books” in a single study. In connection with the above, the article presents an analysis of selected provisions of the most common FIDIC standards, i.e. the conditions of contract for construction and engineering works designed by an employer, colloquially referred to as the FIDIC “Red Book”.
