Abstract
The dynamic civilizational changes observed worldwide in recent years are a result of the rapid development of digital processes and cyberspace. The information revolution, the development of the information society affecting all spheres of human activity are undoubtedly among the main trends shaping the contemporary information environment. The availability of new technologies and their widespread use by society have generated a need to distinguish another dimension of security - cybersecurity. The article addresses the issue of changes in defining what cybersecurity is now becoming, also from the viewpoint of entities obliged to act for its sake according to new regulatory trends.
