Abstract

Disinformation is one of the most important problems of today. Regulations aimed at counteracting disinformation are also adopted under European Union law. On 19 October 2022, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a Single Market For Digital Services (Digital Services Act) and amending Directive 2000/31/EC (Official Journal of the European Union L. z 2022 r. n. 277, p. 1 as amended), known as the Digital Services Act was adopted. Although the Digital Services Act does not define disinformation, the term appears repeatedly in the text of that Regulation. In the article, the authors analyse the role of disinformation under the Digital Services Act.
