Abstract
Artificial intelligence, which is developing at a rapid pace, has a huge impact on people's lives, and solutions based thereon can facilitate human life, including decision-making. At the same time, however, it is important to be aware of the risks involved and pay attention to ethical and legal issues primarily related to so-called algorithm bias. Indeed, biased data used in the implementation of artificial intelligence can result in violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms, and algorithms can be prone to 'biases' (and sometimes even contain solutions favouring them), which can be difficult to detect or correct, while their causes can be very diverse. To this end, legislative efforts are being taken at the EU level to regulate issues relating to AI, including those that would contribute to prevention of AI bias and prejudice - in particular the AI Act and the AI Liability Directive.
