Abstract

The article is devoted to personal data breach and details of this phenomenon. The article explains what a personal data breach is and how to determine whether such a breach has taken place. The article shows what rights and freedoms are protected under the GDPR and shows that the principles formulated in the GDPR are exactly rights and freedoms. The most important part of the article is devoted to the relationship that occurs between a personal data breach and data protection principles. The article states that the level of risk of an event constituting a data breach is the same as the level of violation of the rights and freedoms that are associated with this breach.
