Abstract

The article presents changes in the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure introduced by the Act of 7 July 2019 with respect to the new organization of proceedings and hearings. The following issues have been analysed: serving a copy of the serving a copy of the brief, notification of the plaintiff that service of a copy of the brief has been ordered, instructions to the parties, response to the statement of claim, further preparatory pleadings, the system for gathering litigation materials, preparatory sitting including the plan of hearing, hearing regulations. In conclusion, a doubt has been expressed whether the amendment of the Code will fulfil the intended purpose, which is the improvement of examination (fact-finding) proceedings.
