New jurisdictional rules after the amendment of the civil procedure

Abstract

The extensive amendment to the Code of Civil Procedure has significantly changed the model for considering civil cases in Polish courts. Court proceedings currently follow four rules: judicial fiscalism by increasing and extending the catalogue of court fees, restriction of the right of the parties to a hearing, activating the litigants by imposing new obligations on them, and limiting the possibilities for controlling court decisions by a court of higher instance (limiting devolutive effect),
