Abstract

With a view to internationalization of private life among Polish citizens it is necessary to harmonize legal regulations applicable within the EU territory, especially international family law which is recently being formulated on the EU level. Presenting the currently binding EU regulation concerning the jurisdiction and law applicable to the marital property regimes of international couples the authors quoted arguments that weigh in favor of adopting of this EU regulation in Poland which shall make it possible to realize the needs and expectations of a modern society in that respect.
