Abstract

The article provides a synthetic explanation of the following terms: (1) a creditor and a claim (including contested claims), (2) financial liability of a debtor (including limited cum viribus patrimonii and pro viribus patrimonii), (3) the grounds for declaring bankruptcy of an „entrepreneur”, (4) the right to request declaration of bankruptcy, (5) the value of assets. It has been done on the example of an actual bankruptcy case so the explanations also have a practical dimension.
