Abstract
The dynamic development of new technologies accompanied by efforts to eliminate obstacles to the free movement of people between countries contributes not only to expansion of economic and cultural exchange but also changes the world of crime. Cooperation between criminals from various countries and regions is becoming increasingly common in the era of globalization. In the article the author analyzes the question of effective investigation of international crime, in particular through deployment of the so-called wiretaps. The author argues that cooperation between investigation authorities is facilitated within the European Union and is becoming increasingly popular. However, the respective laws still raise a number of doubts.
