Abstract
The article discusses latest amendments to the provisions of the Civil Code on commercial proxy introduced under the Act of 6 March 2018 introducing the Entrepreneurs’ Law and other acts on economic activities, which entered into force on 30 April 2018, as well as non-code regulations concerning commercial proxy. Before 30 April 2018 natural persons conducting economic activity (sole traders) could not grant commercial proxy. De lege lata commercial proxy may be granted not only by entrepreneurs obligatorily entered in the Business Register of the National Court Register, but also by sole traders entered in the Business Activity Central Register and Information Record. Generally, the changes should be positively evaluated. However, specific solutions are not free from certain shortcomings.
