Abstract

The article analyses the legal basis for the new practice of the Competition and Consumer Protection Office, referred to as “public compensation”. The discussion leads to the conclusion that the existing regulations do not provide a legal basis for such decisions. The article also points to doubts concerning the consequences of “public compensation” in the area of civil law.
