Abstract
This gloss discusses the role of the minutes of the hearing as a document reporting the course of the entire proceedings before the court which allows for, inter alia, submitting the procedure to reliable instance supervision. Both the accurate drawing up of the minutes as well as comprehensive familiarization with its contents have a direct impact on the assessment of the respect for the rights of the parties. Moreover, the authoress points out the importance of correctly notifying the defendant of the date of the hearing, basing on the contents of Art. 402 § 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and its reference to Chapter 15 of the Code as regards any possible violation of the defendant’s right of defence.
