Abstract

The article has been aimed at outlining the possibility to exercise the rights to continue an audio-visual work under Polish law, in particular from the practical viewpoint. What is important, the authors also ventured to explain what continuation (sequel) is in the light of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights. It was also important to show what are the consequences of classifying a sequel and an independent or a dependent work. They also outlined the distinction between continuation and format.
