Exercise of the right of access in connection with the processing of cookies or other trancking technologies – selected issues

Abstract
The exercise of the right of access under Art. 15 of the GDPR to personal data processed with the use of cookies or other tracking technologies involves legal and practical problems. The article analyses the following issues:1) Should the information collected with the use of cookies or other tracking technologies be treated as personal data?2) How to identify an applicant who claims to exercise the rights under Art. 15 of the GDPR?3) What specific rights an applicant is entitled to under Art. 15 of the GDPR?4) Whether and if yes to what extent is it possible to apply exemptions so that the controller does not exercise the right of access under Art. 15 of the GDPR when processing personal data with the use of cookies?5) What are other duties of the controller in connection with the exercise of the right of access under Art. 15 of the GDPR?
