Abstract
The article discusses issues associated with monitoring of IT systems. First, the article explains the concept of IT systems monitoring and its relation to other forms of monitoring referred to in the Labour Code. Then, it presents the objectives and legal grounds for the application of IT systems monitoring, both in public institutions and in companies. Further on, the requirements for IT systems monitoring arising from the personal data protection regulations have been discussed, whereas the last part of the article presents the Labour Code requirements for the application of other forms of monitoring.
