Abstract
The article presents changes in the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure introduced by the Act of 7 July 2019 with respect to evidence and evidentiary proceedings. Analysed are new institutions of the Law of Evidence, such as: “facts which are a matter of public knowledge”, procedural status of an opinion issues in another case than the one being considered, witness testimony given in writing, examination of a witness with the participation of an expert medical practitioner or psychologist, expert witness in simplified proceedings, new possibilities for determining the amount of remuneration and reimbursement of costs of an expert witness.
