Abstract

The article presents issues relating to the joint controllers of personal data as a part of online business. The authors focused on data processing operations involving various entities. The article takes into account the specificity of activities carried out with the participation of social media and other entities using technologies that allow tracking Internet users. As a part of the analysis, the current case law of the CJEU has been presented, which indicates the directions for interpreting the concept of joint controllers in the context of data processing operations performed by various entities.
