Abstract
Improved business environment aimed to support R+D activities and commercialization of research results was specified in the so-called Small Act on Innovations passed on 04 November 2016. The article presents the principal solutions and a general assessment of the impact they will have on the participants in the intellectual property commercialization process. The provisions of the Act constitute an expansion of the existing legal institutions established for enhancing innovation in the economy and legislative work on their further development is continued.
