Abstract

The article outlines the origins, legal construction and scope of the obligation to keep registers of processing operations , as well as the functions to be performed by such registers, the substantive scope of the obligation, the scope of information to be entered in the registers, and instances in which keeping a register is not required. Attention has been drawn to selected doubts and problems which arise when interpreting the regulations for keeping registers of processing operations.
